Dr. William Berkowski, D.D.S. received a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Detroit (now the University of Detroit Mercy) in 1974, and graduated from the School of Dentistry there in 1978. Dr. Berkowski began practicing general and family dentistry first in Detroit and then in Dearborn, where his office has been for more than 30 years.
In addition to entering private practice after completing his D.D.S, Dr. Berkowski was asked to return to the School of Dentistry first as an instructor of complete and partial dentures, and eventually an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics. He has continued teaching and mentoring there in various capacities ever since, and remains an active participant among UD Mercy dental alumni organizations.
Dr. Berkowski maintains active membership in various professional dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Detroit District Dental Society, the Detroit Dental Clinic Club, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon, to name just a few. Among many of these, he has held leadership posts throughout the years.
